Fat Americans Increase Global Warming

Fat Americans will become a significant contributor to global warming by 2030.  It's a fact.

According to a recent study, published in the journal of The Obesity Society, people with higher body mass produce more carbon dioxide.

The research claims that “maintenance of greater body weights requires more food and drinks to be produced and transported to the consumers. Similarly, transportation of heavier people is associated with increased consumption of fossil fuels.”

Obesity was estimated to generate about "700 megatons of carbon dioxide annually", which is equal to about "1.6 percent of all anthropogenic carbon emissions."

A further study published in the New England Journal of Medicine has warned that obesity rates in the United States are rising sharply, to the extent that by the end of the 2020s, "half of Americans would be obese, with severe obesity now seen in as much as 25 percent of people in the U.S."

There you have it.

President Donald Trump has of course responded angrily to the research, tweeting, "Fake Science!  American's have the best, very healthiest bodies in the world. Just look at me."

Personally, Mr President, with the US population projected to be at around 359.4 million people in 2030, and thus 179.7 million global warmers to look forward to, we at the Badger suggest you might want to consider legalising the eating of fat Republicans.
